A ball valve is a flow control device which uses a hollow, perforated and pivoting ball to control liquid flowing through it. It is open when the ball's hole is in line with the flow inlet and closed when it is pivoted 90-degrees by the valve handle, blocking the flow. 

A Butterfly valve is a quarter-turn rotary motion valve, that is used to stop, regulate, and start the flow. Butterfly valves are a quick open type. A 90° rotation of the handle can completely close or open the valve.

In a 3-way plug valve, flow from one port could be directed to either the second or third port. A 3-way plug valve could also be designed to shift flow between ports 1 and 2, 2 and 3, or 1 and 3, and possibly even connect all three ports together.

A one-piece floating ball valve is a bi-directional shut-off valve used to control fluid flow systems. It is effective for low to medium temperature and pressure applications. This is supported by an anti-static and anti-blow-out stem design. It can, nevertheless, be customized to suit some cryogenic functions as well.

The Audco Standard type valve has its integral operating shank at the large end of the taper plug. The plug is seated by means of forces applied through the gland packing housed in the cover which also seals the shank against leakage.

The lug-style butterfly valve designs have threaded lugs outside the valve body. Using two sets of studs, the valve is connected with piping flanges. One end of the line can be disconnected without affecting the other side since each flange has its own bolts.
